Culver City lies to its west, the Baldwin Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles to its north, and the Westchester neighborhood of Los Angeles

Culver operated as a not-for-profit, municipally-owned facility for 80 years, was then sold to for-profit American Medical International, and in 1984 was relocated from its original location near downtown to a new campus north of the city.

Today, Culver City's " Landmark Street " runs down what was the middle of the old studio lot, with the two original sound stages having been located on the north side of Landmark Street, and the backlot / city street sets had been located at the eastern end of Landmark Street.

To the north is Culver Down, a chalk down accessible to the public, mostly owned and managed by the National Trust, and supports typical chalk downland wildlife, and many seabirds which nest on the adjoining cliffs.

Two of the yard tracks end before Ocean Parkway station, after which the four remaining tracks merge into two to climb up and over two more tracks of the IND Culver Line ( train ), which enter from the north.

Beverlywood is bordered by Century City on the northwest, Cheviot Hills on the west, Palms on the southwest, Culver City on the south, Crestview on the east ; South Robertson on the north.

The district's boundaries are roughly Robertson Boulevard on the east ; the Culver City limits on the south ; Beverwil Drive and the Hillcrest Country Club on the west ; and Monte Mar on the north.

The city of Santa Monica lies to the northwest, West Los Angeles to the north, Palms to the northeast, Culver City to the east, Del Rey to the southwest, and Venice to the west.

Although Jack proclaims that the station is run " in a dumpy little building in beautiful downtown Culver City ", KCBS-FM was actually at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles, about ½ mile north of Culver City.

From its beginning at an interlocking north of Jay Street – MetroTech, where Culver Line trains can access the IND Sixth Avenue Line or IND Eighth Avenue Line, south to Church Avenue in Kensington, the line is mostly a four-track subway, though it rises to cross over the Gowanus Canal on the only above-ground structure on the original Independent Subway System.

A very small portion of Irvine is also in the 714 area code, from the north side of Culver Drive at the I-5 to Jamboree Road in the Marketplace, in the neighborhood of Northpark Irvine.

It becomes the Fulton Street Line at an interlocking north of Jay Street – MetroTech while briefly running parallel with the IND Culver Line.

The Mar Vista Gardens public housing project is located in the neighborhood, just north of Ballona Creek, adjacent to Culver City.

The other bicycle path, the Ballona Creek bicycle path runs along Ballona Creek from Culver City to the waterfront in Marina Del Rey and connects to the South Bay bicycle path, which runs along the beach and provides access to other beach communities, including Venice Beach and Santa Monica to the north and Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Redondo Beach to the south.

Past this point, the right-of-way of NY 590 continues north to Culver Road at the Lake Ontario shoreline as a divided two-lane street named Sea Breeze Drive.

The highway was built in stages from north to south, with the first section — a divided highway connecting Culver Road to East Ridge Road in Irondequoit — opening to traffic in the early 1950s as a realignment of NY 18.

At the time, its attendance boundaries included Culver City, and in 1932 they extended as far north as Mulholland Highway.

NY 3 then followed State Street, Main Street, and East Avenue ( modern NY 96 ) through downtown before turning north onto Culver Road in the eastern portion of the city.

There is also no access from NY 104 eastbound to NY 590 northbound ; eastbound traffic must take Culver Road in order to go north toward Sea Breeze.

The realignment created a significant overlap with NY 18, which joined US 104 in the vicinity of Kodak Park and separated at Culver Road, where it headed north instead.
