Since 2005, Halifax Film, a new company formed by Salter co-founder Michael Donovan, has produced the show.

Salter Street Films was named after the street in Halifax where Paul and Michael had been living.

Based on their reputation for political satire, American documentary film-maker Michael Moore approached Salter Street to produce his Bowling for Columbine project.

Michael Donovan has formed the Halifax Film Company with many of the former Salter Street employees.

She was the daughter of a close friend and political ally of his father, Salter Jehosaphat VanKoughnet ( 1833 – 1888 ) Q. C., of Toronto, a brother of Philip Michael Matthew Scott VanKoughnet.
