Abraham Lincoln emerged as an incarnation of the national Constitution.

Abraham Lincoln ( February 12, 1809 – April 15, 1865 ) was the 16th President of the United States, serving from March 1861 until his assassination in April 1865.

Abraham Lincoln was born February 12, 1809, the second child of Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Lincoln ( née Hanks ), in a one-room log cabin on the Sinking Spring Farm in Hardin County, Kentucky ( now LaRue County ).

Abraham Lincoln suffered from " melancholy ", a condition which now is referred to as clinical depression.

Among his staff was Isham G. Harris, the Governor of Tennessee, who had ceased to make any real effort to function as governor after learning that Abraham Lincoln had appointed Andrew Johnson as military governor of Tennessee.

In the presidential election of 1860, the Republican Party, led by Abraham Lincoln, had campaigned against expanding slavery beyond the states in which it already existed.

At the urging of Abraham Flexner, who had done pioneering studies of medical education, and University of Rochester President Rush Rhees, Whipple agreed in 1921 to become Dean of the newly funded and yet-to-be-built medical school in Rochester, New York.

The couple had five sons and one daughter: Abraham ( 1807 – 1873 ) a graduate of West Point and career military officer ; John ( 1810 – 1866 ), graduate of Yale and Attorney General of New York ; Martin, Jr. ( 1812 – 1855 ), secretary to his father and editor of his father's papers until a premature death from tuberculosis ; Winfield Scott ( born and died in 1814 ); and Smith Thompson ( 1817 – 1876 ), an editor and special assistant to his father while president.

In the election of 1860, he voted for the fusion ticket in New York which was opposed to Abraham Lincoln, but he could not approve of President Buchanan's course in dealing with secession and eventually supported Lincoln.

He captured nearby Fort Beauséjour in 1755 and is also known for his roles as second-in-command at the Plains of Abraham, for capturing Martinique, as Governor of New York and also for his participation in the Great Upheaval.

Launching his new line from his existing company's offices at 330 West 42nd Street, New York City, New York, he officially held the titles of editor, managing editor, and business manager, with Abraham Goodman officially listed as publisher.

* May 18 – Civil War gold hoax: The New York World and the New York Journal of Commerce publish a fake proclamation that President Abraham Lincoln has issued a draft of 400, 000 more soldiers.

From there, she would travel northeast to Sandtown and Willow Grove, Delaware, and onto the Camden area where free black agents, William and Nat Brinkley and Abraham Gibbs, guided her north past Dover, Smyrna, and Blackbird, where other agents would take her across the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal to New Castle and Wilmington.

Fleeing anti-Semitic Russian pogroms, Rickover, his mother and sister ( Americanized: " Fannie ") made passage to New York City in the United States in March 1906, joining Abraham who had made earlier, initial trips there beginning in 1897 to become established.

* 1864: Junius, Jr., Edwin and John Wilkes Booth ( later the assassin of U. S. president Abraham Lincoln ) made their only appearance onstage together in a benefit performance of Julius Caesar on 25 November 1864, at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.

Early formal organizations run by converted Jews include: the Anglican London Society for promoting Christianity among the Jews of Joseph Frey ( 1809 ), which published the first Yiddish New Testament in 1821 ; the " Beni Abraham " association, established by Frey in 1813 with a group of 41 Jewish Christians who started meeting at Jews ' Chapel, London for prayers Friday night and Sunday morning ; and the London Hebrew Christian Alliance of Great Britain founded by Dr. Carl Schwartz in 1866.
