Count Mikhail Tarielovich Loris-Melikov (, ; ; – ) was a Russian-Armenian statesman, General of the Cavalry, and Adjutant General of H. I. M. Retinue.

On February 26, 1891, he was made Adjutant General of the H. I. M. Retinue.

In November 1881, Alexander III promoted Dimitri Constantinovich to the position of Adjutant in the H. I. M. Retinue.

The Adjutant General of Maryland, Major General George M. Gelston, commanded the National Guard force and also was given control of the city and state police forces in the city ( approximately 1, 900 police officers ).

On October 23, 1917, Maryland State Adjutant General Henry M. Warfield appointed one of his predecessors, Major General Clinton L. Riggs, as colonel of the newly designated Maryland State Guard and organization and recruitment was done in earnest.

He was brevetted captain at Buena Vista and served in the Adjutant General's department after the war.
