Novello was portrayed in Robert Altman's 2001 film, Gosford Park, by Jeremy Northam, and several of his songs were used for the film's soundtrack, including " Waltz of My Heart ", " And Her Mother Came Too ", " I Can Give You the Starlight ", " What a Duke Should Be ", " Why Isn't It You?

" Our Generation " and " Dog And His Master ," two songs found on Wozniak's Zog BogBean project, would appear on later Marcy Playground albums.

Conversely, the band's transition from lengthy, complex songs to more compact, simplistic, radio-friendly material was not welcomed by critics ; Rolling Stone's review of ... And Then There Were Three ... read: "... this contemptible opus is but the palest shadow of the group's earlier accomplishments.

On 30 June 2009, Emerson appeared as a guest during Spinal Tap's ' One Night Only World Tour ' at Wembley Arena, during the songs " Short And Sweet " and " Heavy Duty ".

And while George Gershwin was somewhat critical of Astaire's singing abilities, he wrote many of his most memorable songs for him.

Some songs on From The Underground And Below, including " Save Me ", even had a slight industrial metal sound to them.
