CKXT would cease operations on November 1, 2011, with the Sun News Network continuing only on cable and satellite.

The deal was completed on December 2, 2004 ; Quebecor gave CHUM $ 46 million ( CAD ) and Sun Media's 29. 9 % share in CP24 for CKXT.
