After being thoroughly embarrassed when his pants fall down, Elmer sees through Bugs ' disguise, he tries shooting him, but is blown back into the barber's chair.

" When Myicin tries to convince Bugs he is Elmer Fudd, Bugs at first believes Myicin is identifying himself as Fudd, and politely shakes hands saying " Pleased to meet you, Mr. Fudd!

Elmer tries the names of contemporary screen beauties whose names exploited his accent (" Hedy Wamaw " for Hedy Lamarr, " Cawowe Wombawd " for Carole Lombard, " Wosemawy Wane " for Rosemary Lane, and " Owivia de Haviwand " for Olivia de Havilland ) before he arrives at " Say, you wouldn't be that scwewy wabbit, would you?

Other cartoons dumbed Porky down and cast him as a duck hunter after Daffy, largely paralleling the Elmer Fudd / Bugs Bunny pairings.

Porky appeared in the movie Space Jam and collaborates with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd and Sylvester in challenging the Nerdlucks to a basketball game.

The cartoon's plot was essentially replicated in one of Jones ' later cartoons, Rabbit Rampage ( 1955 ), in which Bugs Bunny turns out to be the victim of the silly animator ( Elmer Fudd ).

This turned out to be the final film for Brooks, director of such acclaimed pictures as Blackboard Jungle, Elmer Gantry, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and In Cold Blood.
