Andre Kirk Agassi (; born April 29, 1970 in Las Vegas, Nevada ) is a retired American professional tennis player and former World No. 1, who was one of the game's most dominant players from the early 1990s to the mid 2000s.

More recently, both Elms and librarian Lee Weinstein have gathered circumstantial evidence to support the case for Linebarger's being " Allen ," but both concede there is no direct proof that Linebarger was ever a patient of Lindner's or that he suffered from a disorder similar to that of " Kirk Allen.

In Star Trek: The Original Series episode I, Mudd, the Liar paradox is used by the characters of Captain Kirk and Harry Mudd to confuse and ultimately disable an android.

Star Trek is an American science fiction television series created by Gene Roddenberry that follows the adventures of the starship and its crew, led by Captain James T. Kirk ( William Shatner ), first officer Spock ( Leonard Nimoy ), and chief medical officer Dr. Leonard McCoy ( DeForest Kelley ), in the 23rd century.

Like Enterprise, the new film ( which did contain an indirect reference to the series: Scotty believes he has been " exiled " to the remote Starfleet outpost, where Kirk and the older Spock encounter him, as punishment for losing Admiral Archer's beagle-whom Kirk is quite familiar with-in a transporter mishap ) also adopted a prequel concept, with a different approach.

The ribbon makes contact with the ship's hull and causes major damage to the section Kirk is in ; being exposed to the vacuum of space, he is presumed to be dead.

Picard asks for help from an " echo " of Guinan in the Nexus ; she sends him to meet Kirk, who is also safe in the Nexus.

Kirk is mortally wounded from the encounter ; as he dies, Picard assures him that he helped to make a difference.

In the Star Trek ( 2009 ) movie, Uhura is seen ordering a " Cardassian Sunrise " drink in the bar scene just prior to meeting James Kirk.

One element from Yesteryear that has become canon by depiction within Star Trek: The Original Series is the Vulcan city of ShiKahr, depicted in a background scene wherein Kirk, Spock and McCoy walk across a natural stone bridge ( first depicted in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock ) in the remastered " Amok Time ".

This is the only Kirk-era TV or movie story in which Kirk didn't appear.

McCoy is someone to whom Kirk unburdens himself and is a foil to Spock.

Others such as department store magnate James Cash Penney, Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy, actor / martial artist Chuck Norris, wrestlers Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Ted DiBiase and wrestler Sting, and actors Jesse McCartney, Kirk Cameron, and Mr. T are also mentioned as being born again.

In Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Worf's grandfather Colonel Worf ( also portrayed by Michael Dorn ) appears in a role as the legal advocate of Captain James T. Kirk and Dr. Leonard McCoy after they are accused of killing Chancellor Gorkon of the Klingon High Council.

There have also been a trio of television versions, with Melvyn Douglas and Ed Begley in 1965, Jason Robards and Kirk Douglas in 1988, and Jack Lemmon and George C. Scott in 1999.

The pitching staff was good but not great, with Russ Ortiz ( 17 – 9, 3. 29 ) leading a staff that also had Liván Hernández ( 13 – 15, 5. 24 ), and Kirk Reuter ( 14 – 12, 4. 42 ).

Knox's three daughters also married: Martha to Alexander Fairlie ; Margaret to Zachary Pont, son of Robert Pont and brother of Timothy Pont ; and Elizabeth to John Welsh, a minister of the Kirk.

On the same day, Governor Kirk also signed the incorporation acts for two cities inside the District: Bay Lake ( Chapter 67-1104 ) and Reedy Creek ( Chapter 67-1965 ).

Kirk also appears in numerous books, comics, and video games.

Terry J. Erdman and Paula M. Block, in their Star Trek 101 primer, note that while " cunning, courageous and confident ", Kirk also has a " tendency to ignore Starfleet regulations when he feels the end justifies the means "; he is " the quintessential officer, a man among men and a hero for the ages ".

Although Kirk is demoted to captain in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home for disobeying Starfleet orders, he also receives command of a new USS Enterprise.

Not only did he take inspiration from Roddenberry's suggestion of Hornblower, but Shatner also based Kirk on Alexander the Great – " the athlete and the intellectual of his time ", whom Shatner played for an unsold television pilot two years earlier – and himself because " the fatigue factor weeks of daily filming is such that you try to be as honest about yourself as possible ".

The most irreconcilable of Bruce's Scottish enemies also came: Ingram de Umfraville, a former Guardian of Scotland, and his kinsman the Earl of Angus, as well as others of the MacDougalls, MacCanns and Sir John Comyn of Badenoch, the only son of the Red Comyn, who was born and raised in England and was now returning to Scotland to avenge his father's killing by Bruce at Greyfriars Kirk in Dumfries in 1306.

The technique was also used by Spock to subdue James Kirk in the 2009 film, when Kirk opposes Spock's decision as captain of the USS Enterprise to reunite with the remainder of Starfleet in the Lorentian system, instead of pursuing Nero immediately.

The film also depicts Kirk and Spock's initial clashes at Starfleet Academy, and the gradual development of their friendship based on shared mutual respect, what the elder Spock calls "... a friendship that will define both in ways cannot yet realize.
