All Vaishnava schools are panentheistic and view the universe as part of Krishna or Narayana, but see a plurality of souls and substances within Brahman.

Traditions of Gaudiya Vaishnavas, the Nimbarka Sampradaya and followers of Swaminarayan and Vallabha consider Krishna to be the source of all avatars, and the source of Vishnu himself, or to be the same as Narayana.

A different viewpoint differing from this theological concept is the concept of Krishna as an avatar of Narayana or Vishnu.

It should be however noted that although it is usual to speak of Vishnu as the source of the avataras, this is only one of the names of the God of Vaishnavism, who is also known as Narayana, Vasudeva and Krishna and behind each of those names there is a divine figure with attributed supremacy in Vaishnavism.

Upon this request it is said that Lord Krishna opens his mouth in front of Yashoda who sees the Seven Oceans, the entire Universe with its vast expanse and also Lord Narayana seated upon Adishesha ( The Divine Snake ), attended upon by his beloved consort Mahalakshmi.

Arjuna was an avatar of Nara, who along with the avatar of Narayana, Krishna, established Dharma in the Dvapara Yuga.

Krishna being Narayana of the Nara Narayana avatar, symbolizes the atman, and hence the two are inseparable.

Although it is usual to speak of Vishnu as the source of the avatars, within the Vaishnavism branch of Hinduism Narayana, Vasudeva, and Krishna are also seen as names denoting divine aspects which descend as avatars.

Kuchipudi repertoire has increased greatly in recent ears and include compositions of Jayadevaâ €™ s Gita Govindam, Tarangams of Narayana Thirtha and Padams of Kshetrayya besides slokas from Leelasukaâ €™ s Sri Krishna Karnamritha.

In the Mahabharata, Krishna is often referred to as Narayana and Arjuna as Nara.

The Narayana Upanishad of the Krishna Yajur Veda states that the Narayana Mantra is the crowning message of the Sama-veda.

Vedas say that devotees of Narayana, Vishnu are quite rare, and still more rare are those who are pure devotees ( of Vishnu, Narayana, Krishna ).

Periyalvar delighted in worshipping Vishnu as mother, and composed 440 verses treating himself as Yashoda and Narayana as Krishna.

So bhakti ( loving devotion ) goes to Bhagavan, Krishna ( the Avatar of Vishnu, Narayana ).
