Oa is a fictional planet that lies at the center of the DC Comics universe.

In the events of Brightest Day, John is seen on Oa, supervising the demolition of the buildings left in ruins after the Black Lanterns attack, and planning the reconstruction.

After Thomas Kalmaku used Jordan's ring to rebuild Oa, Kyle Rayner used his power as Ion to resurrect the Guardians.

Oa was itself destroyed in a battle between Parallax and Kyle Rayner, but rebuilt in the events of " Legacy " as the final wish of Hal Jordan's former power ring.

With the ultimatum delivered by Larfleeze, the current wielder of the orange power of avarice, Scar has proposed lifting the ban on the Vega System as well as having the Guardians leave Oa to get involved in the conflict personally.

Emerald Twilight saw Hal Jordan have a complete mental breakdown after his attempt to rebuild Coast City with his power ring resulted in him being ordered to return to Oa for punishment for breaking the rule of using his power ring for personal gain.

Granny's attempted assault on the power structure of Oa results in injury to a Guardian, the clearing of Hal Jordan's name, the hiding of the Power Battery and a Green Lantern assault force sent to Earth.

However Green Lantern escaped and defeated Sinestro on Oa, who was placed in a green energy container which would orbit the Universe by the power of many Green Lanterns.

Interestingly, when Sinestro formed his insignia from blood, the power rings stationed on Oa seemed to react violently, threatening to break free of their confines.

The Kryptonian technology was incorporated into the Manhunters by Hank Henshaw on Biot, which enabled them to use the Central Power Battery on Oa as a power source for the Manhunters.

Rather than sacrifice his humanity, Rayner abandoned omnipotence, bleeding off the vast power, recharging the Central Power Battery on the Guardians ' home planet and headquarters, Oa, and helping to create a new group of Guardians in the process.

During the Black Lanterns ' attack upon the Central Power Battery on Oa, Alpha Lantern Chaselon's internal power battery was breached.

Oa the Living Planet, an amalgamation version of Ego and DC's Planet Oa, was featured under the Amalgam Comics imprint, in Iron Lantern # 1, where he is the source of the power for the Green Lantern Corps.

Instead, its consciousness absorbed the power of Oa and grew to immense proportions.

When the power battery on Oa was destroyed following the execution of Sinestro, Ch ' p's ring was one of the few that still functioned.

Parallax was revealed to have been once imprisoned within the Central Battery on the planet Oa, from which all Green Lanterns derive their power, and was the reason for the yellow impurity that in the past rendered the rings useless against anything yellow.

After it was learned something amiss was happening on Oa, a task force ( as shown in the Emerald Fallout series ), which consisted of Guy Gardner, Wonder Woman, Captain Atom, Alan Scott, Martian Manhunter, Ferrin Colos of the Darkstars, and Arisia, ventured to Oa to discover the cause of Guy Gardner's visions of its destruction that were brought about by him wielding Sinestro's power ring ( which was also fueled by the power expelled by the Guardians, their rings, batteries, or Parallax himself ).

Parallax chose Hal at the behest of Sinestro ( who was puppeteering a hard-light duplicate of himself in the battery during their battle on Oa.

Going back to Oa, he sends rings across the universe to recruit a new Green Lantern Corps.

Kyle and Hal subsequently sabotaged his attempt to crash a planetoid into Oa by switching rings, Hal allowing Sinestro to throw him away before using Kyle's ring to destroy Sinestro's equipment while Kyle-Hal's ring protecting him from mortal injury-kept Sinestro occupied.

All of the Green Lanterns, including Mogo, used their rings to throw Oa and slam Krona into the sun to eliminate him for good.

After briefly returning to Earth, the two Lanterns returned Oa, encountering an immense a swarm of black rings, which reanimated all the deceased Lanterns in Oa's crypts, bringing Kyle face to face with the reanimated corpse of Jade.

Since its inception, Oa has been the planetary citadel of the Guardians of the Universe and the headquarters of the Green Lantern Corps.

If they feel a violation of Corps regulations occurred, they will summon the offender to Oa and hold a trial in which the charges are read and the Lantern is allowed to explain his / her / its actions.

The Guardians eventually returned to Oa and began the reconstruction of the Corps, assigning Guy Gardner to Earth, John Stewart to the Mosaic World, and Hal Jordan to recruit new members.

Armed with yellow Power Rings and Lanterns manufactured on Qward, the Sinestro Corps staged an attack on Oa, killing dozens of Green Lantern Corps officers, kidnapping Kyle Rayner, and freeing Superboy-Prime, Parallax, and the Cyborg Superman from the Corps ' supervision.

As the Sinestro Corps ' campaign of terror spread, the Guardians, in desperation, rewrote the first Law of Ten in the Book of Oa, enabling the remaining Lanterns to use lethal force against members of the Sinestro Corps.

Green Lantern Corps headquarters are on the planet Oa, in the center of the universe.

The Green Lantern Honor Guard is an elite group of Green Lanterns, based on Oa but not restricted to one sector, who serve as leaders of the Corps, troubleshooters and special operatives.

Hal Jordan appears as a playable character and one of the game's major protagonists ; the Guardians appear in the game's Oa based stage, and the rest of the Corps members are mentioned to be trying to contain the universe wide crisis taking place during Story Mode.
