* Song Ci publishes the Collected Cases of Injustice Rectified, a book considered to be the first monographic work on forensic medicine.

The first written account of using medicine and entomology to solve ( separate ) criminal cases is attributed to the book of Xi Yuan Lu ( translated as " Washing Away of Wrongs "), written in Song Dynasty China by Song Ci ( 宋慈, 1186 – 1249 ) in 1248.

The physician and judge known as Song Ci ( 1186 – 1249 ) wrote a pioneering work of forensic science on the examination of corpses in order to determine cause of death ( strangulation, poisoning, drowning, blows, etc.

Song Ci stressed the importance of proper coroner's conduct during autopsies and the accurate recording of the inquest of each autopsy by official clerks.

Through their own experiments and interest in arthropods and death, Song Ci, Francesco Redi, Bergeret d ’ Arbois, Jean Pierre Mégnin and the German doctor Hermann Reinhard have helped to lay the foundations for today's modern forensic entomology.

In 1247 AD Song Ci wrote a book entitled Washing Away of Wrongs as a handbook for coroners.

In this book Song Ci depicts several cases in which he took notes on how a person died and elaborates on probable causes.

Although, Li Yu indeed was a great exponent and developer of the Ci poetry form, which form sometimes or often seems to characterize poetry of the Song Dynasty, there is also some difficulty in categorizing him as a Song poet: the Southern Tang state is more of a continuation of Tang than a precursor on the Song side of the divide of the history of the Tang-Song transition.

Li Yu represents both a continuation of the Tang poetry tradition, as well as representing the Ci poetic style which is so especially associated with the poetry of Song.

The Song dynasty ( 960-1279 ) was noted for its poetry, perhaps especially the development of the Ci form ; indeed, the ci as a poetic form perhaps reached a high point during the Song Dynasty.

A second, more lyrical and romantic anthology was Chu Ci ( 楚辭 " Songs of Chu "), made up primarily of poems ascribed to Qu Yuan and his follower Song Yu.

Also, the later Song Dynasty judge and early forensic expert Song Ci ( 1186 – 1249 ) would promote the use of autopsy in order to solve homicide cases, as written in his Collected Cases of Injustice Rectified.

In the Song Dynasty, poetry was marked by a lyric poetry known as Ci ( 詞 ) which expressed feelings of desire, often in an adopted persona.

Chu Ci (), also known as Verses of Chu, Songs of Chu or Songs of the South, is an anthology of Chinese verse traditionally attributed to Qu Yuan and Song Yu from the Warring States Period, though about half of the poems seem to have been composed several centuries later, during the Han Dynasty.

Choreographed by Mr. Nagrin, the work filled the second half of a program that also offered the first New York showing of Miss Tamiris' `` Once Upon A Time '' as well as her `` Women's Song '' and Mr. Nagrin's `` Indeterminate Figure ''.

Around the dynastic Tang, Song, and early Ming Period, cuirasses and plates ( mingguangjia ) were also used, with more elaborate versions for officers in war.

He also wrote several works of Biblical exegesis, primarily of volumes in the Old Testament, which are preserved in excerpts regarding the Book of Genesis, the Song of Solomon, and Psalms.

He also had a fruitful songwriting collaboration with Lasse Berghagen, with whom he wrote several songs and submitted " Hej, Clown " for the 1969 Melodifestivalen-the Swedish Eurovision Song Festival finals.

References to cannibalizing the enemy has also been seen in poetry written in the Song Dynasty, ( for example, in Man Jiang Hong ) although the cannibalizing is perhaps poetic symbolism, expressing hatred towards the enemy.

The Southern Song Dynasty also suffered the humiliation of having to acknowledge the Jin Dynasty as formal overlords.

This also has a long history in China, with production believed to date back to the Song Dynasty.

The "" (" Song of Germany ", ; also known as "" or " The Song of the Germans "), has been used wholly or partially as the national anthem of Germany since 1922.

It was during the Song Dynasty that painters would also gather in social clubs or meetings to discuss their art or others ' artwork, the praising of which often led to persuasions to trade and sell precious works of art.
