The former Royal Air Force Station Gan commonly known as RAF Gan, was a Royal Air Force military airbase on Gan Island, the southern-most island of Addu Atoll which is part of the larger groups of islands which form the Maldives, in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Royal Navy engineers began constructing airstrips on Gan island in August 1941 for the Fleet Air Arm.
