`` Article 17, Section 1::

With the aid of matching federal funds available under Section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954 as amended, the planning division began a one year program July 1, 1960 to complete the inventory phase of the state planning program.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Act of July 3, 1952 ( 66 Stat. 328 ) as amended ( 42 U.S.C. 1952-1958 ), is further amended to read as follows: Section 1.

The Secretary of the Treasury is authorized and directed out of the sums covered into any of the funds pursuant to subsection ( B ) of this section, and after making the deduction provided for in Section 7 ( B ) of this Title -- ( 1 )

The Secretary of the Treasury, upon the concurrence of the Secretary of State, is authorized and directed, out of the sum covered into the Yugoslav Claims Fund pursuant to subsection ( B ) of this section, after completing the payments of such funds pursuant to subsection ( C ) of this Section, to make payment of the balance of any sum remaining in such fund to the Government of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia to the extent required under Article 1 ( C ) of the Yugoslav Claims Agreement of 1948.

In order to assist the States in maintaining basic vocational rehabilitation services, Section 2 of the amended Act provides that allotments to States for support of such services be based on ( 1 ) need, as measured by a State's population, and ( 2 ) fiscal capacity, as measured by its per capita income.

: Section 16 ( 1 )( a ) of the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979 ( c. 2 ) provided that it was an offence to, amongst other things, assault any person duly engaged in the performance of any duty or the exercise of any power imposed or conferred on him by or under any enactment relating to an assigned matter, or any person acting in his aid.

; Assault on a constable in the execution of his duty: Section 89 ( 1 ) of the Police Act 1996 provides that it is an offence for a person to assault either:

; Cruelty to persons under sixteen: Section 1 ( 1 ) of the Children and Young Persons Act 1933 provides that it is an offence for a person who has attained the age of sixteen years, and who has responsibility for a child or young person under that age, to, amongst other things, wilfully assault that child or young person, or to cause or procure that child or young person to be assaulted, in a manner likely to cause him unnecessary suffering or injury to health.

Section 381(a) applies only to a transfer by liquidation of a subsidiary owned to the extent of at least 80 per cent, a statutory merger or consolidation, an acquisition of substantially all a corporation's assets solely in exchange for voting stock, or a change of identity, form, or place of organization.

Section 1 ( 4 ) applies in relation to proceedings before a relevant convention court under the European Patent Convention as it applies to a judicial proceeding in a tribunal of a foreign state.

Nonetheless, in the event of situations not covered under the 1963 Act, the courts in India continue to exercise their inherent powers in terms of Section 151 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, which applies to all civil courts in India.

The Armorial Bearings Protection Act only applies to "... the Royal Arms or the Arms of any part of Her Majesty ’ s Dominions ..." ( Section 3 of the Act ).

Section 197 of the CrPC ( which applies not only to the CBI but also to the police ) makes prior government sanction mandatory for prosecution.

This act applies in accordance to the seriousness and circumstances of the offence, and the age, maturity, character, background and previous record of the young person and any other factors considered relevant ( Section 72 ).

Section 93 of the Constitution Act, 1867 only applies to provinces, not territories.

The Supreme Court invoked Section 125 of Code of Criminal Procedure, which applies to everyone regardless of caste, creed, or religion.

It is an offence to use a car, or allow others to use it, without the insurance that satisfies the act whilst on the public highway ( or public place Section 143 ( 1 )( a ) RTA 1988 as amended 1991 ); however, no such legislation applies on private land.

Section 45 ( 2 ) changed the definition of " child " in the Protection of Children Act 1978 ( which applies to child pornography ) from a person under 16 to a person under 18.

For instance, Section 11 of the Married Women's Property Act 1882 applies to civil partnerships ; thus, money payable to a surviving partner under a policy of life assurance no longer forms part of the deceased partner's estate.

Under Section 10, the Act applies to crown servants, excepting under Section 11, those who are employees of MI5, MI6 or GCHQ.

Section 4 creates the defence of public good, which applies both to prosecutions for publication of obscene materials and to the forfeiture proceedings described in Section 3.

Section 23 of the Charter applies to Quebec, but to a more limited degree than in other provinces ; Quebec is required to provide an education in English to all children whose Canadian citizen parents were educated in English in Canada, while all other provinces are required to provide an education in French to the children of Canadian citizen parents who either received their education in French in Canada or have French mother tongue.

Section 1 ( 2 ) of the Criminal Attempts Act 1981 applies the Act even though the facts are such that the commission of the offence is impossible so long as, under section 1 ( 3 ), the defendant believes that he is about to break the law and intends to commit the relevant full offence.

Section 5 of the Copyright Act applies the act to all for British subjects and residents, as well as citizens, residents, and corporations of Berne convention countries.

Section 203 of UMRA is a bit more extensive in that it applies to all regulatory requirements that significantly affect small governments, and requires federal agencies to provide notice of the requirements to the government ( s ), enable the officials of the government ( s ) to provide their input on the mandate, and inform and educate the government ( s ) on the requirements for implementation of the mandate.

Congress inserted trust law fiduciary liability upon employers who did not prudently diversify plan assets to avoid the chance of large losses inside Section 404 of ERISA, but it is unclear whether such fiduciary liability applies to trustees of plans in which participants direct the investment of their own accounts.

According to Section 296 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which applies because of Section 1 of the Criminal Code, a misdemeanour is punishable by imprisonment for not more than three years.

In Section 10 ( 7 ) continues the " use of the description city in relation to Kilkenny, to the extent that that description was used before ( January 1, 2002 ) and is not otherwise inconsistent with this Act.

Section 1 ( 4 ) has effect in relation to proceedings in the Court of Justice of the European Communities as it has effect in relation to a judicial proceeding in a tribunal of a foreign state.

In his dissent, Justice Marshall explained the history of the Section 2 in relation to the Post-Civil War Reconstruction era:

Section 3 provides that the President of Ireland may instead exercise these functions and any other functions in relation to the state's external ( or foreign ) relations.

Section 39 of the 1968 Transport Act made provision for a subsidy to be paid to in relation to loss-making lines, however many of the services and railway lines that would have qualified had already been closed.

Section 93 ( 3 ) of the Constitution Act, 1867 provides that there is an appeal to the Governor General in Council "... from any Act or Decision of any Provincial Authority affecting any Right or Privilege of the Protestant or Roman Catholic Minority of the Queen's Subjects in relation to Education.

Section 76 provides that Parliament may confer original jurisdiction in relation to matters:

Section 110 of the Youth Criminal Justice Act outlines privacy in relation to the identity of young offenders, access to their criminal records, and disclosure of their personal or trial information.

The Indian Act was enacted in 1876 by the Parliament of Canada under the provisions of Section 91 ( 24 ) of the Constitution Act, 1867, which provides Canada's federal government exclusive authority to legislate in relation to " Indians and Lands Reserved for Indians ".

Section 329 states: " A person shall not, during the relevant period in relation to an election under this Act, print, publish or distribute, or cause, permit or authorize to be printed, published or distributed, any matter or thing that is likely to mislead or deceive an elector in relation to the casting of a vote … Publish includes publish by radio, television, internet or telephone.

* Section 2 ( 1 ) of the Ministerial and other Salaries Act 1975, provides that " In this Act " Leader of the Opposition " means, in relation to either House of Parliament, that member of that House who is for the time being the Leader in that House of the party in opposition to Her Majesty's Government having the greatest numerical strength in the House of Commons ".

Section 91 authorizes Parliament to " make laws for the peace, order, and good government of Canada, in relation to all matters not coming within the classes of subjects by this Act assigned exclusively to the Legislatures of the provinces ".

In relation to police officers of the Home Office or territorial police forces of England and Wales, Section 30 of the Police Act 1996 states that " a member of a police force shall have all the powers and privileges of a Constable throughout England and Wales and the adjacent United Kingdom waters ".

Section 36 requires that a " limitation is reasonable and justifiable in an open and democratic society ," and that one should consider relevant factors such " the importance of the purpose of the limitation ," " the relation between the limitation and its purpose ," and " less restrictive means to achieve the purpose.

Section. 1 definition -- " referendum campaign period " means, in relation to the referendum, the period beginning on February 1, 2009 and ending at the close of general voting for the referendum .”

In December 2011, Collins was charged with Section 4 harassment ( causing fear of violence ), in relation to alleged harassment of a former girlfriend.
