On 23 May 1618, four Catholic Lords Regent, namely Count Jarolslaw Martinitz, Count Vilem Slavata of Chlum, Adam II von Sternberg ( who was the supreme burgrave ), and Matthew Leopold Popel Lobcowitz ( who was the grand prior ), arrived at the Bohemian Chancellory at 8: 30am.

This left only Count Vilem Slavata, Count Jaroslaw Martinitz ( who had replaced Thurn as Castellan ), known Catholic hard-liners, and the secretary to the Regents.

On 23 May 1618, an assembly of Protestant noblemen, led by Count Jindrich Matyas Thurn, stormed Prague Castle, and tried two Imperial governors, Vilem Slavata of Chlum and Jaroslav Borzita of Martinice with violating the Letter of Majesty, found them guilty, and threw them, together with their scribe Philip Fabricius, out of the windows of the Bohemian Chancellery.

At City Center he performed Vilem Tausky's " Concertino " for Harmonica and Chamber Orchestra while ballet stars Cynthia Gregory and Fernando Bujones danced the pas de deux choreographed by Lynne Taylor-Corbett.

Other pieces were composed for him by Reilly's accompanist James Moody, Matyas Seiber ( Old Scottish Air for Harmonica, Strings and Harp ), Gordon Jacob ( Five Pieces for Harmonica and Strings ), Fried Walter ( Ballade and Tarantella for Harmonica and Orchestra ), Karl Heinz-Köper ( Concerto for Harmonica and Orchestra ), Graham Whettam ( Fantasy for Harmonica and Orchestra ), Vilem Tausky ( Concertino for Harmonica and Orchestra ), Francis Ward ( Kaleidoscope for Harmonica and Orchestra ), Willem Strietman (" O bonne douce France " for Harmonica and Orchestra ), Max Saunders ( Sonatina for Harmonica and Piano ), Sir George Martin ( Three American Sketches for Harmonica and Strings, and Adagietto for Harmonica and Strings ), Alan Langford ( Concertante for Harmonica and Strings ), Paul Patterson ( Propositions for Harmonica and Strings ).

After the death of his parents, Albrecht for two years lived with his maternal uncle, Jindřich Slavata of Chlum and Košumberk, a member of the Unity of the Brethren ( Bohemian Brethren ), and adapted his uncle's religious affiliation.

In the 1620s the literary fraternity in the town was restored by the highest Lord Chancellor of the Kingdom of Bohemia Vilém Slavata and that act, together with the activities of the Jesuit College, founded in 1594, contributed greatly to the development of cultural life in the town.

The settlement and later the town Chlumec nad Cidlinou was founded on the hill named Chlum

The Thirty Years ' War was fought between 1618 and 1648, principally on the territory of today's Germany, and involved most of the major European powers.

His scholarly works include his Annotations — on Genesis ( 1616 ); Exodus ( 1617 ); Leviticus ( 1618 ); Numbers ( 1619 ); Deuteronomy ( 1619 ); Psalms ( including a metrical version, 1612 ); and the Song of Solomon ( 1623 ).
