It is a member of the Chorus Association of Venetian churches and contains a number of paintings by artists including Tintoretto, Paolo Veronese and Francesco Bassano.

Il Redentore contains paintings by Francesco Bassano, Lazzaro Bastiani, Carlo Saraceni, Leandro Bassano, Palma the Younger, Jacopo Bassano, Francesco Bissolo, Rocco Marconi, Paolo Veronese, Alvise Vivarini and the workshop of Tintoretto.

The third chapel to the left is the Cappella della Santissima Trinità, commissioned initially by the clerical patron Pirro Taro, is named due to the main altarpiece by Francesco Bassano the Younger.

If was built between 1594 and 1606 by Francesco Zamberlan of Bassano, a pupil of Palladio, to house a miraculous image of a sitting Madonna with Child carrying a rose.

Bassano's pictures, and those of his two sons, Leandro Bassano and Francesco Bassano the Younger, who followed him closely, were very popular in Venice because of their depiction of simple country life.

He took over the management of his family workshop, which would eventually come to include his four sons, Leandro Bassano, Francesco Bassano the Younger, Giovanni Battista da Ponte, and Girolamo da Ponte.

Francesco Bassano the Younger ( January 26, 1549 – July 4, 1592 ), also called Francesco Giambattista da Ponte or Francesco da Ponte the Younger, was an Italian painter of the Renaissance period.

He elevated his brother Antonio Marcello Barberini ( Antonio the Elder ) and then his nephews Francesco Barberini and Antonio Barberini ( Antonio the Younger ).

The account of Judith's beheading Holofernes has been treated by several painters and sculptors, most notably Donatello and Caravaggio, as well as Sandro Botticelli, Andrea Mantegna, Giorgione, Lucas Cranach the Elder, Titian, Horace Vernet, Gustav Klimt, Artemisia Gentileschi, Jan Sanders van Hemessen, Trophime Bigot, Francisco Goya, Francesco Cairo and Hermann-Paul.

His father Francesco Giamberti was a woodworker and architect, much employed by Cosimo de Medici, and his brother Antonio da Sangallo the Elder and nephew Antonio da Sangallo the Younger were architects.

He elevated a brother Antonio Marcello Barberini ( Antonio the Elder ) and two nephews, Francesco Barberini and Antonio Barberini, to the cardinalate, made another brother Duke of Monterotondo, and gave a third nephew, Taddeo Barberini, the principality of Palestrina.

He was born at Bassano del Grappa near Venice, the eldest son of Jacopo Bassano and grandson of Francesco da Ponte the Elder.

The group includes Palatine, Sistina, Michaelangelo Titling, and Aldus, which takes inspiration from printing types cut by Francesco Griffo c. 1495 in the print shop of Aldus Manutius.

A famous civil engineer of pound locks in Europe was the Italian Bertola da Novate ( c. 1410 – 1475 ), who constructed 18 of them on the Naviglio di Bereguardo ( part of the Milan canal system sponsored by Francesco Sforza ) between the years 1452 and 1458.

Andrea del Verrocchio ( c. 1435 – 1488 ), born Andrea di Michele di Francesco de ' Cioni, was an Italian sculptor, goldsmith and painter who worked at the court of Lorenzo de ' Medici in Florence in the early renaissance.

Desiderio da Settignano, real name Desiderio de Bartolomeo di Francesco detto Ferro ( c. 1428 or 1430 – 1464 ) was an Italian sculptor active during the Renaissance.

His first Venetian commission was a Sacra Conversazione from San Francesco della Vigna ( c. 1552 ).
