from Welsh for " big hill ") is a census-designated place ( CDP ) in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, just west of Philadelphia along Lancaster Avenue ( US-30 ) and the border with Delaware County.

The freeway was readopted by the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission for the new Route 38 freeway from the Ben Franklin Bridge eastward ( paralleling Route 70 and U. S. Route 30 ) to the area of Jackson Township, where it would follow current Interstate 195's alignment.

The highest point in Delaware County is 500 feet at two points southeast of Wyola in Newtown Township.

Originally containing only Findlay Township, the county would add Amanda and Welfare ( now Delaware ) townships later in April of that year.

* The Paulins Kill ( or, incorrectly, Paulinskill ) is a ) river with its two branches ( the West starting at Culver's Lake in Frankford Township, the Main or East Branch starting at Newton ) combine near Augusta, New Jersey to flow southwest through Hampton, Stillwater, Hardwick, Blairstown, and Knowlton to join the Delaware River near the Delaware Water Gap.

* The Pequest River is a beginning near Springdale in Andover Township, flowing trough Green Township, and Warren County to the Delaware near Belvidere in Warren County.

The southeastern portion of Somerset County in Franklin Township also includes the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park, which provides hiking, biking and boating.

District 2 consists of Fishers, Noblesville, Delaware Township, and Noblesville Township.

It intersects Route 29 and County Route 513 in Frenchtown, County Route 519 in Kingwood Township, County Route 579 on the border of Delaware Township and Raritan Township, and County Route 523 in Raritan Township.

A short distance past this intersection, the route briefly passes through the southern corner of Franklin Township before entering Delaware Township.

Route S44A was planned in 1938 as an eastern bypass of Camden from Route 45 in Brooklawn to Route 40 ( now Route 70 ) and Route 41 in Delaware Township ( now Cherry Hill ), mostly along what is now CR 551.
