The Mughal Emperor Farrukhsiyar a grandson of Aurangzeb, is also known to have sent a letter to the Ottomans bu this time it was received by the Grand Vizier Nevşehirli Damad Ibrahim Pasha providing a graphic description of the informing him of the efforts of the Mughal commander Syed Hassan Ali Khan Barha against the Rajput and Maratha rebellion.

HH Abbas II Hilmi Bey ( also known as Abbas Hilmi Pasha ) () ( 14 July 1874 – 19 December 1944 ) was the last Khedive of Egypt and Sudan ( 8 January 1892 – 19 December 1914 ).

Pertevniyal was a sister of Hoshiar ( Khushiyar ), third wife of Ibrahim Pasha of Egypt.

Abdülaziz was deposed by his ministers on 30 May 1876 ; his death at Feriye Palace in Constantinople a few days later was attributed to suicide at the time, although in Sultan Abdulhamid II's recently surfaced memoirs, the event is described as an assassination by the order of Hussein Avni Pasha and Midhat Pasha.

Ottoman authority in Anatolia was indeed seriously threatened during this period, and at one point Bayezid II's grand vizier, Ali Pasha, was killed in battle against rebels.

In the midst of the distress and confusion that the Byzantine Empire now suffered, Orhan's eldest son, Suleyman Pasha, captured the Castle of Tzympe ( Cinbi ) in a bold move which gave the Turks a permanent foothold on the European side of the Dardanelles Straits.

In 1357 Orhan's eldest and most experienced son and likely heir, Suleyman Pasha, died after injuries sustained from a fall from a horse near Bolayir on the coast of the sea of Marmara.

During the War of Independence, on May 3, 1920, Birinci Ferik Mustafa Fevzi Pasha ( Çakmak ) was appointed the Minister of National Defence, Mirliva İsmet Pasha ( İnönü ) was appointed the Minister of the Chief of General Staff of the government of GNA.

But on 3 August 1921, the GNA resigned İsmet Pasha from the Minister of National Defence because of his failure at Eskişehir-Kütahya and on 5 August, just before the Battle of Sakarya, appointed the chairman of GNA Mustafa Kemal Pasha ( Atatürk ) to the commander-in-chief of the Army of the GNA.

The city of Medina was besieged by the caliph's forces and Fakhri Pasha tenaciously held on during the Siege of Medina from 1916, but on 10 January 1919 he was forced to surrender.

Pasha ended the argument by recapturing Bozcaada on August 31, 1657, in the Battle of the Dardanelles ( 1657 ), the fourth and final one.

One month after accepting the throne on 7 March, he arrived in his provisional capital of Durrës and started to organise his government, appointing Turhan Pasha Përmeti to form the first Albanian cabinet.

He began by defeating the Ottoman general Ali Pasha, and then penetrated into Bosnia, capturing the newly built fortress of Jajce after a long and obstinate defence ( December 1463 ).

He took Acre after a severe siege on May 27, 1832, occupied Damascus, defeated an Ottoman army at Homs on July 8 defeated another Ottoman army at Beilan on July 29, invaded Asia Minor, and finally routed the grand vizier Reşid Mehmet Pasha at Konya on December 21.

He returned to Genoa for good in 1555, and being very old and infirm, he gave over the command of the galleys to his great-nephew Giovanni Andrea Doria, the son of Giannettino Doria, who conducted an expedition against Tripoli, but proved even more unsuccessful than his great-uncle had been at Algiers, barely escaping with his life after losing the Battle of Djerba against the Turkish fleet of Piyale Pasha and Turgut Reis.

Soon after, they marched against Husrev Pasha, who had been joined by a considerable number of Turks in a well-fortified position at Damietta.

Ibrahim Pasha retook the city on June 22, 1825, after it had been abandoned by the Greeks.

Notably, two principal leaders from this time, Enver Pasha and Ahmed Djemal, would in fact die in the Soviet Union leading Muslim anti-Communist movements years after the Russian Revolution and the Ottoman defeat in World War I.
