The hill ( which was then unnamed ) is on the main road toward Canandaigua from Palmyra to Manchester ( modern State Route 21 ) and was only a few miles from Joseph Smith's home.

The 21 Alta California missions were established along the northernmost section of California's El Camino Real ( Spanish for " The Royal Highway ", though often referred to as " The King's Highway "), christened in honor of King Charles III ), much of which is now U. S. Route 101 and several Mission Streets.

Route 21 is a highway in northern New Jersey, running from the Newark Airport Interchange with U. S. Route 1 / 9 and U. S. Route 22 in Newark, Essex County to an interchange with U. S. Route 46 in Clifton, Passaic County.

The portion of Route 21 through Newark is a surface arterial that follows the Northeast Corridor rail line through the southern part of the city and continues north through Downtown Newark while the portion north of Downtown Newark is a freeway.

It intersects the northern terminus of County Route 567 ( First Avenue ) before heading into business areas, where it comes to the modified Somerville Circle, where Route 28 intersects U. S. Route 202 and U. S. Route 206.

Here, the road comes to junctions with County Route 619 ( Locust Street ) and County Route 627 ( Chestnut Street ) before heading into residential areas.

Upon leaving the grounds of Naval Weapons Station Earle, the route widens into a four-lane divided highway again and comes to a cloverleaf interchange with the Route 18 freeway.

It continues through suburban development and comes to the Asbury Park Circle where the route intersects County Route 16 ( Asbury Avenue ), crosses into Ocean Township, and intersects the eastern terminus of Route 66.

In Keyport, the route comes to an interchange with the northern terminus of Route 36 that also features access to the Garden State Parkway.

Past this interchange, the route turns north and crosses into South Amboy, where Route 35 comes to an interchange and forms a concurrency with U. S. Route 9.

Route 35 merges onto St. Georges Avenue and comes to a partial cloverleaf interchange with U. S. Route 1 / 9.

Route 4 in Paramus, New Jersey | Paramus, looking westbound. Route 4 comes to an interchange Route 208, where the route continues east on the Route 208 alignment, becoming a divided highway with four lanes in the eastbound direction and three lanes in the westbound direction.

The route comes to an interchange with the southern terminus of County Route 503 ( Washington Avenue ) and Paterson Plank Road, where Route 120 becomes a four-lane divided surface road that merges with Paterson Plank Road as it heads northwest along the border of Carlstadt to the northeast and East Rutherford to the southwest.

Route 5 comes to an intersection with County Route 29 ( Anderson Avenue ) and County Route 54 ( Central Boulevard ), where the route continues east on Central Boulevard as a four-lane undivided road through inhabited areas.

At the intersection with County Route 644, Route 7 turns north onto Cathedral Avenue and comes to its terminus at the Nutley / Clifton border less than one-half mile from an interchange with Route 3.

Its first interchange is with Maryland Route 178, though it is only accessible from the southbound carriageway, and traffic only enters into the northbound.

There are no northbound off-ramps until exit 7, where the route interchanges with the ends of both Maryland Route 3 and Maryland Route 32.

At the southern end of the interchange, the right-of-way for the southern extension is visible along with the former on-ramp from Route 138 to Route 18 northbound.

It then passes under County Route 516 and County Route 527 ( Old Bridge-Matawan Road ), but has no northbound interchange to connect with them ; motorists have to travel through a residential area to access these roads.

The route interchanges with Route 34 southbound at Exit 35A and northbound at Exit 35B.

The freeway features a southbound exit for Mill Street and a northbound exit for Route 7 and County Route 506 ( Rutgers Street / Belleville Turnpike ) as it passes by houses on the left side of the freeway.

This interchange has access to the northbound Garden State Parkway from northbound Route 34, to the southbound Garden State Parkway from southbound Route 34, and to both directions of Route 34 from the southbound Garden State Parkway.

The NSA has its own exit off Maryland Route 295 South labeled " NSA Employees Only ".

In 1994, the portion of U. S. Route 79 in Clarksville, Tennessee between the Interstate 24 exit 4 in Clarksville to the Red River ( Lynnwood-Tarpley ) bridge near the Kraft Street intersection was renamed to honor Wilma Rudolph.

To exit Bolton, one heads north on Notch Road until reaching Route 44, just outside of Bolton Notch.

Near the east end of the county, at exit 8, U. S. Route 22 merges with I-78, running concurrently for the next.

The final exit on Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania is for Morgan Hill Road, which goes to Pennsylvania Route 611 and Easton.

Going westbound, exit 4 leaves to the right for County Route 637 and Warren Glen.

The next exit, Exit 6, is for County Route 632 in Bloomsbury.

At exit 29, Interstate 287, U. S. Route 202 and U. S. Route 206 interchange with I-78 in Bedminster.

At exit 45, County Route 527 intersects after parallelling for some time.

The first exit, 14A, is for New Jersey Route 440 in Bayonne.

Route 21 features an interchange with Main Street that has a southbound exit and an entrance in both directions.

Visitors need to first exit at the Colliseum Drive ( U. S. Route 80 ) exit.

The southern part of I-395 is part of the Connecticut Turnpike, which branches off the interstate in Killingly and runs east-west from I-395 exit 90, to U. S. Route 6 at the Rhode Island state line.
