Star Wars: X-Wing Alliance or XWA is the sequel to both Star Wars: TIE Fighter and the multiplayer-focused Star Wars: X-Wing vs.

XWA is the first game of the series to offer a full voiceover soundtrack and full in-flight dialogue.

The British Heavyweight Championship is a professional wrestling championship contested for in the XWA.

The British Flyweight Championship is a British flyweight professional wrestling championship currently defended in XWA.

Despite only basing their promotion on the former company, XWA inherited the physical British Heavyweight and Flyweight Championship belts from FWA and continued to use them, promising to also resurrect the FWA Tag Team Championship, though they never would.

When the FWA was forced to retire in its interpromotional war with International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom, the XWA carried the lineage of the championship simply renaming it the British Heavyweight Championship and using the same physical belt.

However, in April 2009, XWA founder Greg Lambert announced the creation of a new British Heavyweight Championship that did not bear the FWA initials and gave the original belt back to Alex Shane in time for the resurrection of the FWA.

FWA would also revive itself as XWA but would sever all ties with the All-England Championship.

FWA's spiritual successor, XWA, originally promised to revive the Tag Team Championship but presently the belts remain inactive.

After the feud between FWA and IPW: UK ended, the XWA promotion was founded from the remains of the FWA.

Spud feuded with XWA Flyweight Champion El Ligero, defeating him in a last man standing match to become champion with help from The Kartel and Martin Stone to form ' The Firm ' faction.

Spud won the annual Goldrush rumble to become the No 1 Contender to the XWA Heavyweight Championship while still the XWA Flyweight Champion, which he succeeded in doing after beating Sam Slam at the 2009 Last Fight at the Prom.
