It contains works by Nicolò Semitecolo, Francesco Bassano and Giorgio Schiavone.

It is a member of the Chorus Association of Venetian churches and contains a number of paintings by artists including Tintoretto, Paolo Veronese and Francesco Bassano.

Il Redentore contains paintings by Francesco Bassano, Lazzaro Bastiani, Carlo Saraceni, Leandro Bassano, Palma the Younger, Jacopo Bassano, Francesco Bissolo, Rocco Marconi, Paolo Veronese, Alvise Vivarini and the workshop of Tintoretto.

The third chapel to the left is the Cappella della Santissima Trinità, commissioned initially by the clerical patron Pirro Taro, is named due to the main altarpiece by Francesco Bassano the Younger.

If was built between 1594 and 1606 by Francesco Zamberlan of Bassano, a pupil of Palladio, to house a miraculous image of a sitting Madonna with Child carrying a rose.

Bassano's pictures, and those of his two sons, Leandro Bassano and Francesco Bassano the Younger, who followed him closely, were very popular in Venice because of their depiction of simple country life.

He took over the management of his family workshop, which would eventually come to include his four sons, Leandro Bassano, Francesco Bassano the Younger, Giovanni Battista da Ponte, and Girolamo da Ponte.

Francesco Bassano the Younger ( January 26, 1549 – July 4, 1592 ), also called Francesco Giambattista da Ponte or Francesco da Ponte the Younger, was an Italian painter of the Renaissance period.

During the 1980s and 1990s, Ritts photographed celebrities such as Diana Ross, Christopher Reeve, Belinda Carlisle, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Michael Jordan, Dalai Lama, Mikhail Gorbachev, Francesco Clemente, George Clooney, Cher, Mel Gibson, Elizabeth Taylor, Brad Pitt, Ronald Reagan, Julia Roberts, Steven Hawking, Nicole Kidman, Edward Norton, Tom Cruise, Michelle Pfeiffer, Dizzy Gillespie, Elton John, Annette Benning, Antonio Banderas, Richard Gere, Jack Nicholson, Cindy Crawford, and Tina Turner.

The Madonna is here depicted with various saints, the archangel Michael and St. Maurice holding her mantle, which is extended over the kneeling Francesco Gonzaga, amid a profusion of rich festooning and other accessory.

A statue of John the Baptist as a boy is in the Bargello ; also a delicate relief of the Madonna and Child, an Ecce Homo, and a bust of Francesco Sassetti.

The so-called Madonna del Latte on a pillar in the Church of Santa Croce is a memorial to Francesco Neri, who fell by the stab intended for Lorenzo de ' Medici.

Santa Maria delle Grazie al Calcinaio was built in 1484-1515 by Francesco di Giorgio Martini in connection with an alleged miracle-performing image of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the " Madonna del Calcinaio ".

There are the 14th century Madonna with Child and Saints by Taddeo Gaddi, the 15th century Adoration of the Magi by Francesco d ' Antonio and St. Felicity with Her Seven Sons by Neri di Bicci.

At Rome the Litany of Loreto was introduced into the Basilica of S. Maria Maggiore by Cardinal Francesco Toledo in 1597 ; and Paul V, in 1613, ordered it to be sung in that church, morning and evening, on Saturdays and on vigils and feasts of the Madonna.

Another of his principal pictures is in San Francesco di Matelica ; in Berlin is a Madonna and Saints ( 1491 ); in the Vatican Gallery a Dead Christ, in the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Strasbourg is an Adoration of the Shepherds and in the Brera of Milan the Madonna of the Candle.

It houses noteworthy artworks including paintings by Francesco Botticini, a terracotta by Luca della Robbia, an altarpiece ( 1785 ) by Zanobi del Rosso and a triptych by Lorenzo di Bicci portraying the Madonna in Throne with Saints.

Pope St Pius V also helped financially in the construction of the city of Valletta, Malta's capital city by sending his military engineer Francesco Laparelli to design the fortification walls.

The cut stones were given to Rainaldo Speziale, worker of St. Francesco.

Amongst the contents of the museum are the tapestries of Grandmaster Fra Ramon Perellos de Roccaful, portraits of Grandmasters Fra Jean de la Cassiere, Fra Nicolas Cotoner and Fra Manuel Pinto da Fonseca and paintings that were once kept in the Co-Cathedral's many side chapels such as " St George killing the Dragon " by Francesco Potenzano.

Giovanni Francesco Anerio's Teatro harmonico spirituale ( 1619 ) is a set of 14 dialogues, the longest of which is 20 minutes long and covers the conversion of St. Paul and is for four soloists: Historicus ( narrator ), tenor ; St. Paul, tenor ; Voice from Heaven, bass ; and ananias, tenor.

In the space above the cornice, there is a sculptural portrait of the Doge Francesco Foscari kneeling before the St. Mark's Lion.

In the same years Piero di Francesco del Pugliese asked him to paint the altarpiece with Apparition of the Virgin to St. Bernard, now in the Badia Fiorentina, Florence.

Francesco had the Palace of St. Sebastian built, were later Mantegna's Triumph of Caesar were placed.

Simone's other major works include the St. Louis of Toulouse Crowning the King at the Museo di Capodimonte in Naples ( 1317 ), the Saint Catherine of Alexandria Polyptych in Pisa ( 1319 ) and the Annunciation with St. Margaret and St. Ansanus at the Uffizi in Florence ( 1333 ), as well as frescoes in the San Martino Chapel in the lower church of the Basilica of San Francesco d ' Assisi.

From the age of twenty he studied in London under the Swedish painter Hans Hysing, and at the St. Martin's Lane Academy ; leaving in 1736 for Rome and Naples, where he worked for three years under Francesco Solimena and Imperiali ( Francesco Fernandi ).

It is doubtful if all the monuments there attributed to him are of his own hands ; there is no question about the tomb of the Florentine Francesco Tornabuoni in the Church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva, the remains of the monument to Pope Paul II in the crypt of St. Peter's, and the beautiful little marble tabernacle for the holy oils in St. Maria in Trastevere bears the inscription Opus Mini.

He received his episcopal consecration on the following September 8 from Cardinal Pacelli ( whose old vestments Spellman himself wore ), with Archbishops Giuseppe Pizzardo and Francesco Borgongini Duca serving as co-consecrators, at St. Peter's Basilica.

Among his disciples were Cipriano de Rore, his successor at St. Mark's ; Costanzo Porta ; the Ferrarese Francesco Viola ; Gioseffo Zarlino ; and Andrea Gabrieli.

This naturalism is also evident in the Basilica of San Francesco d ' Assisi in Assisi, built in the early years of the 13th century in honor of the newly canonized St. Francis.

On the left aisle, there is the tomb of the Bishop of Lecce Archbishop Francesco Minerva ( 1904 – 2004 ) following three chapels: one containing the relics, chalices, crucifixes, and a silver bust of the saint enclosed by an iron grating, and the other dedicated to St. Anthony ( but with canvas representing St. Francis of Assisi ), the third devoted to St. Anne.
