In the late 19th century, the Brients began building shops and gristmills approximately northeast of their milltown at a railroad stop called Tellico Junction, where the Atlanta, Knoxville & Northern Railroad ( which roughly followed modern U. S. 411 ) intersected the Tellico Railroad ( which connected Athens and Tellico Plains ).

Repair shops for the growing electric fleet were established at Peckham Rye, and carriage sheds at Norwood Junction.

The railroad's engine houses and shops were at Montour Junction, near the Ohio River at Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.

SR & RL locomotives 15, 16, 17 and 18 were reboilered in the Maine Central Waterville shops during the same period, and a freight branch was built from Perham Junction to Barnjum.

This, coupled with increasing competition from nearby centres such as Clapham Junction, Wimbledon and Putney, led to a severe decline in the fortunes of the centre-at one stage it was said that the centre had seen the influx of so many downmarket shops that " it's become hard to buy anything at the centre for over £ 1 ".

During the early 1980s, DEVCO built new locomotive shops at Victoria Junction, between Sydney and Glace Bay, and shut down the Glace Bay roundhouse and shops.

On December 18, 2001 DEVCO sold all surface assets, including the international shipping piers, railway track, railway rights-of-way, locomotives and rolling stock, and a coal storage facility and locomotive shops at Victoria Junction to 510845 New Brunswick Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary of Emera Inc., the holding company which owns Nova Scotia Power Incorporated ( Nova Scotia Power Corporation having been privatized in 1992 ).

During the early 1980s, the Devco Railway retired its diesels locomotives inherited from the Sydney and Louisburg Railway, which had purchased them second-hand during the early 1960s, and purchased a fleet of new diesel locomotives and coal hoppers, as well as building new locomotive shops at Victoria Junction, between Sydney and Glace Bay, and shut down the Glace Bay roundhouse and machine shops.

A short portion of the line was retained to provide access from North Chicago Junction to the railroad's shops in Highwood ; the remainder of the line was removed, much of the right-of-way becoming automobile parking spaces for commuters who switched to the suburban trains of the parallel Chicago and North Western Railway.

Locomotive maintenance is conducted at the road shops at Iroquois Junction.

Gauntlet track near Mitcham There are four routes: Route 1 – Elmers End to Croydon ; Route 2 – Beckenham Junction to Croydon ; Route 3 – New Addington to Wimbledon ; and Route 4-Therapia Lane to Elmers End

The three service areas are located in the central north ( Junction 23 South Mimms ), south east ( Clacket Lane ) and central east ( Thurrock ).

Among the most interesting and mysterious remnants of this era are the so-called cart ruts as they can be seen at a place on Malta called Clapham Junction.

Other town centers include: " Takoma Junction ", the corner of Carroll Avenue and Route 410 in the geographic center of town, home to the city's large food co-op ; Takoma-Langley Crossroads in downtown Langley Park, and the Flower shopping district, both of which are home to many immigrant-owned establishments.

Cape Breton University and the Nova Scotia Community College's Marconi Campus are located several kilometres east of Sydney along Trunk 4 in the community of Victoria Junction and the Canadian Coast Guard College is located in the suburb of Westmount on the west bank of the Sydney River.

They are known in the UK for their hit songs " Cool for Cats ", " Up the Junction ", " Tempted ", " Labelled With Love ", " Black Coffee In Bed ", " Another Nail in My Heart "," Pulling Mussels ( From the Shell )" and " Hourglass ".

All scenes of Still Life are set in the refreshment room of a railway station ( the fictional Milford Junction ).

Other named minor communities and geographic locations in the town are Brookfield Junction, Candlewood Lake East, Candlewood Shores, East Iron Works, Huckleberry Hill, Iron Works, Long Meadow Hill, Obtuse, Pocono Ridge, Prospect Hill, West Iron Works, and Whisconier.

Nearest railway stations are Loughborough Junction railway station and Denmark Hill railway station.

There are railway stations at Clapham High Street and Wandsworth Road which link Clapham to Victoria, London Bridge and Clapham Junction.

East London Line Travelling north to south — nearest London Overground stations are Dalston Junction, Haggerston, Hoxton and Shoreditch High Street

and Dalston Junction ( East London Line ) both are served by London Overground.

The extensive areas of open water, especially the Grand Junction Reservoir in the north-west of the site, are used by large numbers of birds, particularly in winter.

The nearest railway stations are Thornton Heath, Norbury, Norwood Junction and Selhurst.

Nearest railway stations are Wandsworth Town railway station ; Wandsworth Common railway station, ( one stop from Clapham Junction, and 12 minutes train ride from Victoria ); and Earlsfield railway station, ( one stop from Clapham Junction, and 12 minutes train ride from Waterloo Station ).

Although the line originally went all the way to Montrose, which is still a station on the main rail network, there are currently no immediate plans to link the Brechin line back into the main rail network, ( as the section at Hillside through onto Kinnaber Junction close to Montrse is now sadly redeveloped, sadly making it unlikely for the preserved railway to reconnect to the national network at all ).

Rail passengers arrive and depart at Williams Junction, east of Williams, and are shuttled by Amtrak Thruway Motorcoach from Williams Junction to the Grand Canyon Railroad Station in downtown Williams.

According to town historians and several original newspaper articles that are displayed at the Desert Inn and Restaurant National Historical site, the town was originally named " Jackass Junction ".

The Eben Ice Caves are a popular tourist destination located in the nearby community of Eben Junction and provide picturesque ice formations.

The townsite of Dugdale and the location Tilden Junction are located within the township, and Marcoux Corner is located at the edge of the township.

Dayton ( 2010 Census population of 7, 063 ), Heathcote ( 5, 821 ), Kendall Park ( 9, 339 ), Kingston ( 1, 222 of a total CDP population of 1, 493 ) and Monmouth Junction ( 2, 887 ) are census-designated places and unincorporated areas located within South Brunswick Township.

Several vineyards and wineries are located near Cave Junction, including Bridgeview Vineyards, Foris Vineyards Winery, and Bear Creek Winery which are all discussed in Fodor's 2004 book " Oregon Wine Country.

It is located near Megiddo Junction, the intersection of highways 65 ( from Hadera to Afula ) and 66 ( running from Haifa south to Judea and Samaria ).

The other roundabout is located at Kumara Junction on the West Coast, where the Hokitika Branch separates State Highway 6 southbound from SH 6 northbound and SH 73.

Southall is located on the Grand Union Canal ( formerly the Grand Junction Canal ) which first linked London with the rest of the growing canal system.

Clapham Junction railway station is located in Battersea, rather than Clapham.

It is located on the Alaska Highway between Delta Junction and Tok.

Fort Greely is located south of Delta Junction on the Richardson Highway.

Northway Junction is located at ( 63. 006408 ,-141. 777993 ).

For casual dining there is the Junction Restaurant ( located next to the Best Western ), the King Dragon Chinese restaurant ( adjacent to the Wells Fargo ), Smith's Cafe, and Pizza Edge ( just south of Bashas ').

Bisbee Junction ( formerly Osborn or Osborn Junction ) is located four miles south of Warren.

The Arizona Cactus Botanical Garden was located in Bisbee Junction.

Swift Trail Junction is located at ( 32. 734604 ,-109. 714970 ) at the base of the Pinaleno Mountains.
