* Saint Sturm establishes the monastery of Fulda.

The Benedictine monastery of Fulda was founded in 744 by Saint Sturm, a disciple of Saint Boniface, as one of Boniface's outposts in the reorganization of the church in Germany.

Witta was buried in the chapel of Saint Sturm ( Sturmius, Sturmi ) which Lullus later ( 769 ) used as the nucleus for the new and influential Benedictine Hersfeld Abbey.

Aurelius Ambrosius, better known in English as Saint Ambrose ( c. 330 – 4 April 397 ), was an archbishop of Milan who became one of the most influential ecclesiastical figures of the 4th century.

Saint Adalbert, Czech: ;, ( c. 956 – April 23, 997 ), Czech Roman Catholic saint, a Bishop of Prague and a missionary, was martyred in his efforts to convert the Baltic Prussians.

He was soon producing some spectacular and original images, notably Nemesis ( 1502 ), The Sea Monster ( 1498 ), and Saint Eustace ( c. 1501 ), with a highly detailed landscape background and animals.

Saint Bruno of Querfurt ( c. 974 – February 14, 1009 ), also known as Brun and Boniface, is a sainted missionary bishop and martyr, who was beheaded near the border of Kievan Rus and Lithuania while trying to spread Christianity in Eastern Europe.

The Anglo-Saxon Diocese of Sherborne was established by Saint Aldhelm in about 705 and comprised the counties of Devon, Somerset, Dorset and Cornwall.

He commissioned three lives of the Saint, the first by an anonymous writer, written between 699 and 705.
