In Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Worf's grandfather Colonel Worf ( also portrayed by Michael Dorn ) appears in a role as the legal advocate of Captain James T. Kirk and Dr. Leonard McCoy after they are accused of killing Chancellor Gorkon of the Klingon High Council.

While on a mission to the Gamma Quadrant, Worf was captured and sent to a prison camp where he met the real General Martok and was reunited with the real Dr. Bashir, who had both been captured and replaced by changelings.

She and Worf had been trying to conceive, despite the doubts of Dr. Bashir that such a pregnancy was possible.

Several episodes focus on Ezri Dax resolving her relationship with Worf, and the subsequent development of a romantic relationship with Dr. Julian Bashir.

Dorn's appearance in the film Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country was as Colonel Worf, representing Captain James T. Kirk and Dr. Leonard McCoy at their trial on Qo ' noS and also unmasked the real assassin: Colonel West.

Dr. Crusher summons Worf to inform him that he's the only person on the ship who is a compatible ribosome match for the Romulan.

When the crew receives an emergency distress call from a nearby transport ship, Captain Picard elects to try a risky near-warp transport of an away-team, including Data, Troi, Worf, and Dr. Selar, to see to Dr. Graves while the rest of the crew attend to the transport.

Dr. Crusher consults a specialist, Dr. Russell, who suggests a risky, possibly life-threatening, experimental, untested procedure that may allow Worf to regain all of his mobility ; essentially, they clone his spine, extract the original and replace it with the new one.

Unable to ask his son, Worf decides to risk undergoing the untested spine replacement procedure, against Dr. Crusher's advice.

In tears, Dr. Crusher informs Troi and Alexander of his demise, but minutes later they are pleasantly surprised as Worf revives due to the redundancies built into his body that back up even his neural functions.

Later Dr. Russell enters Dr. Crusher's office, and Crusher tells her that while she is delighted that Worf will recover, she is horrified by Russell's immoral methods of putting her own interests in collecting research data and gaining recognition for herself above patients ' interests and lives.

When Dr. Pulaski refuses and insists the disease is contained, Anya transforms into a monstrous form, easily throwing Lt. Worf aside when he tries to intervene.
