God placed Himself in men's hands when He sent Jesus Christ into the world as perfect God and perfect Man in one Being.

Arius taught that Jesus Christ was divine and was sent to earth for the salvation of mankind but that Jesus Christ was not equal to the Father ( infinite, primordial origin ) and to the Holy Spirit ( giver of life ).

Timothy was Paul's missionary companion in the same way Jesus sent disciples out in pairs of two.

" The Fourth Gospel addresses itself to the challenges posed by Judaism and others outside Johannine circles who have rejected the community's vision of Jesus as preexistent Son, sent by the Father.

The title Son of David identifies Jesus as the healing and miracle-working Messiah of Israel ( it is used exclusively in relation to miracles, and the Jewish messiah is sent to Israel alone ); as Son of Man he will return to judge the world ( a fact his disciples recognise but of which his enemies are unaware ); and as Son of God he has a unique relationship with God, God revealing himself through his son, and Jesus proving his sonship through his obedience and example.

Islamic tradition holds the view that Isa, son of Maryam ( aka Jesus, son of Mary ), was the promised nabi ( Prophet ) and masih ( Messiah ) sent to the Israelites, and that he will again return to Earth in the end times, along with al-Mahdi, and they will defeat Masih ad-Dajjal ( lit.

The Qur ' an states Jesus the Son of Mary ( Arabic: Isa ibn Maryum ) is the Messiah or " Prophet " sent to the Jews, and Muslims believe Jesus is alive in Heaven and will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist ( Arabic: Dajjal ).

" Mary is the first to announce the resurrection and to fulfill the role of an Apostle ─ someone sent by Jesus with a special message or commission, to spread the gospel (" good news ") and to lead the early church.

Jesus not only taught forgiveness, He gave us an example of it on the cross.

The outcome of such an experiment has been in due time the acceptance of the Bible as the Word of God inspired in a sense utterly different from any merely human book, and with it the acceptance of our Lord Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, Son of Man by the Virgin Mary, the Saviour of the world.

How often have I looked to Jesus when entering the sick room, asking for His presence and help in my professional duties as I give my talents not only as the world giveth but as one who loves the Saviour and His creatures.

Why not open your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ now, accept Him as your Saviour and let Him fill you with peace that only He can give.

Now to him who is able to preserve you without sin and to set you before the presence of his glory, without blemish, in gladness, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, belong glory and majesty, dominion and authority, before all time, and now, and forever.

John 3: 16 says that only those that accept Jesus will be given eternal life, so the people that do not accept him cannot burn in hell for eternity because Jesus has not given them eternal life, instead it says they will perish.

According to the teaching of Arius, the preexistent Logos and thus the incarnate Jesus Christ was a created being ; that only the Son was directly created and begotten by God the Father, before ages, but was of a distinct, though similar, essence or substance from the Creator ; his opponents argued that this would make Jesus less than God, and that this was heretical.

Apostasy ( turning from Christ ) is only committed through a deliberate, willful rejection of Jesus and renunciation of saving faith.

Furthermore, Wesley did not teach a salvation by perfection, but rather says that, " Even perfect holiness is acceptable to God only through Jesus Christ.

These scholars also maintain that Jesus was the only human ever elected and that individuals must be " in Christ " ( Eph 1: 3 – 4 ) through faith to be part of the elect.

It is " one of four elements which define the true Church of Jesus Christ " and legitimizes the ministry of its clergy, as only a bishop within the succession can perform legitimate or " valid " ordinations.

In harmony with Paul's notices are the statements in Acts that Apollos was a highly educated Alexandrian Jew, who " spoke and taught accurately about Jesus, even though he knew only the baptism of John.

A rival to the more common belief that Jesus Christ had two natures was monophysitism (" one nature "), the doctrine that Christ had only one nature.

In the Book of Revelation, Jesus Christ is the kinsman-redeemer and is the only one worthy to open the seven sealed scroll spoken of in Revelation 5: 1-10.

Many Christians have believed that Jesus ' doctrine of peace speaks only to personal ethics and is distinct from civil government's duty to punish crime.

LDS theology includes the Christian doctrine of salvation only through Jesus Christ, though LDS doctrines regarding the nature of God and the potential of mankind differ significantly from mainstream Christianity.

Our blessed Lord Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, who could not lie, said, `` Amen, amen, I say to thee, unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God '' ( St. John 3: 3 ).

Also, in Acts 1: 5, Jesus assured his disciples that they too would soon be baptised in holy spirit: " For John truly baptized with water ; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus referred to himself as the Son of God far more frequently than in the Synoptic Gospels.

In the New Testament e. g. Matthew 1: 1, 1: 18 ; Mark 1: 1 ; John 1: 17 ; 17: 3 ; 9: 22 ; Mark 9: 40 ; Luke 2: 11 ; 22: 2, the word Christ is preceded by Jesus.

In the Gospel narratives that describe the life of Jesus, the first instance of him being called the Son of God appears during his Baptism by John the Baptist.

when John the Baptist was in prison two of his disciples asked Jesus a question on his behalf: " Are you the one to come after me or shall we wait for another?

" indicating that John doubted the identity of Jesus as Christ at that time, see also Rejection of Jesus.
