( Acts 3: 13 ; 5: 30 ; 15: 10 ; 22: 14 ; 26: 6 ; 28: 5 ) Those who agree with this claim often reject that Luke is writing an apology.

Esler believes that this specific point is supported through Luke ’ s emphasis on citing examples of Romans who come to believe in Christ ( Acts 10: 1-11: 18 ; 13: 12 ; 18: 7 ).

Many who side with this view disagree that Luke portrays Christianity or the Roman Empire as harmless and thus reject the apologetic view because “ Acts does not present Christians as politically harmless or law abiding for there are a large number of public controversies concerning Christianity, particularly featuring Paul .” For example, to support this view Cassidy references how Paul is accused of going against the Emperor because he is “ saying that there is another king named Jesus .” ( Acts 17: 7 ) Furthermore, there are multiple examples of Paul ’ s preaching causing uprisings in various cities ( Acts 14: 2 ; 14: 19 ; 16: 19-23 ; 17: 5 ; 17: 13-14 ; 19: 28-40 ; 21: 27 ).

Supporters of this view believe that the Roman Empire does not threaten the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ because Luke “ simply recognizes its existence as a political reality, but he is clear that God is greater .” Throughout Acts, believers like Paul are being charged with spiritual crimes concerning “ teaching against Israel, the law, and the temple ” ( Acts 21: 21, 28 ; 23: 29 ; 24: 5 ; 25: 8, 19 ; 28: 17 ) or being a civil disturbance ( Acts 16: 20, 21: 38, 25: 8 ) rather than political charges.

In Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace ( 1999 ), Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn ( Liam Neeson ) discovers nine year old Anakin Skywalker ( Jake Lloyd ), whom he believes to be the " Chosen One " of Jedi prophecy who is destined to bring balance to the Force ; the boy is eventually paired with Qui-Gon's apprentice, the young Obi-Wan Kenobi ( Ewan McGregor ), who promises to train him.

Three of the most prominent are Jan Ors, a fellow mercenary and love interest ; Lando Calrissian ( voiced by Billy Dee Williams ), the sophisticated baron-administrator of Cloud City seen in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi ; and Luke Skywalker, protagonist of the original film trilogy and leader of the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV.

Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan ( born Leia Amidala Skywalker ; later Leia Organa Solo ), often referred to as simply Princess Leia, is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe.

The films establish that there was originally a Jedi Knight named Anakin who fell to the dark side of the Force ; he is also revealed to be the father of both Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia Organa, the two main protagonists of the original trilogy.

Later, Luke Skywalker ( Mark Hamill ) boards the station with his friends and rescues her ; in the film's climactic battle scene, he uses his power in the Force to help him destroy the station.

Later, Luke Skywalker infiltrates the palace and kills Jabba's rancor in a duel ; whereupon Jabba transfers his court to the sail barge with Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca as food for the Sarlacc, while Leia serves as Jabba's slave.

In The Crystal Star, C-3PO accompanies Luke Skywalker and Han Solo to Crseih Station to investigate the possible existence of Jedi trainees ; but instead find Waru, a creature from another dimension, from whom they learn of Waru's alliance with Lord Hethrir and of the kidnapping of the Solo children.

In the film's climactic scene, however, the station is assaulted by a small force of Rebel starfighters ; the battle ends with the Death Star's destruction at the hands of Luke Skywalker.

" He did not order the execution of a crewman responsible for operating the tractor beams when Luke Skywalker escaped a trap he set ; but, only because he found, upon interviewing the crewman's superior, that he had not been trained properly because that superior looked down on his conscript status.

In the latter novel, Jacen joins his uncle in watching holovideos of his grandparents, Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala ; in particular, he sees Anakin fall to the dark side and Padmé die in childbirth partly as a result of Anakin's treachery.
