The Saint Lawrence (; Tuscarora: Kahnawáʼkye ; Mohawk: Kaniatarowanenneh, meaning " big waterway ") is a large river flowing approximately from southwest to northeast in the middle latitudes of North America, connecting the Great Lakes with the Atlantic Ocean.
